Product Information
2-Amino-4-(isopropyl-d7-amino)-6-chloro-triazine is a synthetic ligand that binds to the N-methyl D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. It is used as a research tool to study the NMDA receptor and its interactions with other proteins. 2-Amino-4-(isopropyl-d7-amino)-6-chloro-triazine binds to the glutamate site on the NMDA receptor and can be used as an activator or inhibitor of this protein. It has been shown that 2AMINO4 (CAS No. 1216649) can inhibit glutamate release in rat hippocampus slices, which may be due to its ability to block calcium channels. This agent also blocks postsynaptic currents in cultured neurons, thereby inhibiting neuronal excitation.
