It has a functional group that is reactive to the hydroxyl groups on polydimethylsiloxane and is multifunctional due to its chain structure. 3-[(Dimethylsilyl)oxy]-1,1,3,5,5-pentamethyltrisiloxane is also a polymer that can be used as an extender in silicone with chain-like properties.
