Description:
3-Hydroxy-2-methyl-1,4-dihydropyridin-4-one is a hydrophilic immobilized probe that has shown antibacterial activity in serum iron and deoxyribonucleotide. It was conjugated to introduce an analog and a linker that significantly increased its antioxidant activity. The coordination chemistry of this compound was studied by electrochemical methods and it showed significant antibacterial activity.
