(Chloromethyl)dimethyl[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]silane is a polymerization catalyst that can be used to produce polyolefins. It has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of polymers with high dielectric constants, such as poly(styrene-co-vinyl acetate), and in the production of conjugates. The solid catalyst is stable under conditions of radiation and can be used for coatings that are resistant to damage from fluorine. (Chloromethyl)dimethyl[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]silane has also been shown to be effective in the synthesis of olefins and alkenes, and can be used as a reaction product for both polymerization reactions and hydrocarbon conversion reactions.
