N-Acetonylpyridinium bromide (ACP) is an organometallic compound that has a pyridinium group. It is a cationic surfactant that can be used as a synthetic intermediate in organic synthesis. ACP can be prepared by the reaction of an unsaturated ketone with tropone and phenyl groups, followed by substitution of the acetonyl group with bromide. The compound has been shown to have high reactivity in reactions involving β-unsaturated ketones.
