Description:

N-Acetonylpyridinium bromide (ACP) is an organometallic compound that has a pyridinium group. It is a cationic surfactant that can be used as a synthetic intermediate in organic synthesis. ACP can be prepared by the reaction of an unsaturated ketone with tropone and phenyl groups, followed by substitution of the acetonyl group with bromide.
