N,2-Dimethyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindazol-3-amine is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have antibacterial activity. It has been used in clinical studies for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and is being investigated as a diagnostic agent for congestive heart failure. N,2-Dimethyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindazol-3-amine inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA and RNA synthesis enzymes. It also has antiinflammatory properties and may be effective against inflammatory diseases such as diabetes. This drug binds to fatty acids in the cell membrane and causes leakage of cellular contents, which leads to cell death.
