Product Information
6-Chlorocinnoline is a reagent that can be used to form cinnolines by amination of primary amines. It is also used for the preparation of chlorinated cinnolines, which are precursors to other compounds. 6-Chlorocinnoline has been shown to react with chloride, methylating it and forming the corresponding chlorocinnoline. This reaction can be performed in aqueous solution or in the presence of transition metals, such as iron and nickel. The chlorine atom in 6-chlorocinnoline is replaced by deuterium (D) to form 6-deuterochlorocinnoline, which can then be reacted with an amine to produce an N-substituted cinolone.
