Description:

Cyclopentanone p-Toluenesulfonylhydrazone is a cyclic compound with a chemical formula of C10H14O3S. It is an acceptor in the cyclohexane-cyclohexanol reaction and has been used as a preparative reagent for cyclopentyl compounds. Cyclopentanone p-Toluenesulfonylhydrazone has been shown to be an efficient kinetic inhibitor of the enzyme camphor hydroxylase in rat liver microsomes, inhibiting the conversion of camphene to camphor. This chemical also has industrial uses, such as solvents and additives for paints and varnishes.
