Description

Oleyl stearate is a fatty alcohol that is used as a growth factor in microcapsules and nanoemulsions. The process optimization of oleyl stearate has been investigated through the use of homarine, which was found to be an important intermediate in the production of oleyl stearate. Oleyl stearate has been shown to inhibit chloride ion fluxes across the skin and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) activation, leading to increased cell proliferation and migration. Oleyl stearate also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to suppress arachidonic acid-induced inflammation. The chemical ionization mass spectrometry technique was used for the identification of fatty acids present in oleyl stearate.
