3-(3,4-Dichloroanilino)-3-oxopropanoic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the activity of calcium channels. It is used to treat inflammation and inflammatory condition. It has been shown to inhibit the production of compounds that may be involved in the inflammatory process by inhibition of the enzyme prostaglandin synthase (cyclooxygenase). 3-(3,4-Dichloroanilino)-3-oxopropanoic acid also has been shown to have analgesic and antipyretic properties. This drug can be administered orally or intravenously and is readily soluble in dichlorobenzene.
