Description

Butyl isobutyl phthalate-d4 is a non-fluorescing, low-molecular weight compound with a linear calibration curve. It has been shown to have radical scavenging activity in acetate extracts from various plants. Butyl isobutyl phthalate-d4 has been shown to inhibit the inflammatory response in rats and mice and could be used as an antiinflammatory agent. The compound also exhibits hypoglycemic effects, which may be due to its ability to induce insulin secretion and activate AMPK. Butyl isobutyl phthalate-d4 also displays anticancer activity, which has been attributed to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species by cells.
