Description:
1,1,5,5-Tetramethyl-3,3-diphenyltrisiloxane (TTTS) is a liquid that has been used as an optical material in the manufacture of polycarbonate. TTTS is clear and colorless at room temperature. It has a refractive index of 1.540 and a density of 1.321 g/cm³ at 25 °C. The melting point for TTTS is approximately 170 °C and it has a boiling point of about 340 °C.
