Suc-Ala-Leu-Pro-Phe-pNA is a synthetic peptide that can bind to the beta 2 adrenergic receptor. It is an activator of the receptor and it can be used as a research tool to study protein interactions. This peptide is a potent inhibitor of the receptor. Suc-Ala-Leu-Pro-Phe-pNA binds to the beta 2 adrenergic receptor by preventing the binding of other ligands and thus reducing its activity. The peptide has been shown to bind with high affinity, but low potency, in vitro.
Suc-Ala-Leu-Pro-Phe pNA is not toxic as it does not lead to cell death.
