Description:
N-Benzyl-2-nitrobenzenesulfonamide is an inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme activity in a reversible, noncompetitive manner. This compound also shows enantioselective inhibition of protein tyrosine phosphatase, which is useful for the synthesis of chiral drugs. N-Benzyl-2-nitrobenzenesulfonamide has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of this enzyme with a kinetic rate constant of 0.5 μM/min at pH 7 and a KI value of 7.5 μM.
