Product Information

Name:
4-(Allyloxy)benzophenone
Synonyms:
  • [4-(Allyloxy)phenyl](phenyl)methanone
  • 4-Allyloxybenzophenone
  • Methanone, Phenyl[4-(2-Propen-1-Yloxy)Phenyl]-
Description:

4-(Allyloxy)benzophenone is a covalently immobilized antibacterial agent that can be used for the treatment of infections caused by Brucella. This compound has been immobilized on silicon surfaces and coated with silanes, which are surface-modifying agents. The immobilization method was found to be successful in preventing the release of 4-(allyloxy)benzophenone from the surface, thus leading to increased activity against Brucella. This compound also has shown promising properties as a gas sensor and as a target tissue for drug delivery.
