Product Information
1-ethenyl-2-(1-methylethoxy)-benzene is a unsymmetrical ligand that contains both a phosphine and an ethylene group. It is used in chemoenzymatic reactions to synthesize indenylidene complexes, which are catalytic for metathesis reactions. This compound binds to chloride ions and has been shown to be active at temperatures of up to 120 °C. 1-ethenyl-2-(1-methylethoxy)-benzene also participates in the synthesis of various organic compounds including cyclic carbenes, which are useful for the preparation of many types of organic molecules. The main solvent it is found in is chloroform.
