Description:

2-Butoxyethyl 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate is a monomer that belongs to the group of diisocyanates. It reacts with a diol to form an aliphatic urethane. 2-Butoxyethyl 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate has been found to be toxic in animal experiments. The LD50 for rats is 300 mg/kg, and the NOEL for rats is 110 mg/kg per day. In one study, it was found that the viscosity of a polymer containing 2-butoxyethyl 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate was higher than that of a polymer without this monomer.
