Product Information
Fmoc-Ala-OH-15N is a ligand that binds to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It has been shown to inhibit the growth of epidermoid carcinoma cells in culture. Fmoc-Ala-OH-15N may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancer because it inhibits the production of epidermal growth factor, which is a molecule involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. This compound has also been shown to inhibit the phosphotyrosine residues on EGFR, which are implicated in the signal transduction pathway and therefore may be an effective therapeutic agent for cancer.
