Product Information
1,2-Diaminopyridinium tetrafluoroborate is a protonated pyridinium salt that is used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. It can be oriented by the intramolecular hydrogen bonds with the methoxy groups and acceptor oxygen atoms. The molecule contains an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the pyrazole ring and the pyridine ring. The protonated nitrogen atom of 1,2-diaminopyridinium tetrafluoroborate forms hydrogen bonds with water molecules. This molecular structure allows it to act as an efficient catalyst for reactions such as esterification, transesterification, alkylation, and hydrolysis reactions.
