This compound also reacts with nucleophiles such as chloride to produce chlorides. 1-Propargyl-1H-benzotriazole is used in the synthesis of benzotriazolyl compounds, which are used as pharmaceuticals and pesticides. Primary amines can be converted into secondary amines using this compound.
