It has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in cancer tissues and cells. 1,5-Bis[3,5-bis(methoxymethoxy)phenyl]-1,4-pentadiene-3-one inhibits the growth of cancer cells by activating death proteins and cell signaling pathways.
