Product Information
CK-636 is a novel small molecule that binds to the C-terminal of the kinesin-1 protein, which is involved in the transport of cellular cargo along microtubules. CK-636 inhibits this activity and prevents the transport of cellular cargo, leading to cell death. CK-636 has been shown to bind to activated prostate cancer cells and spermatozoa, but not normal cells. This drug also has an effect on fertility due to its ability to inhibit actin filament assembly. The use of CK-636 as a therapeutic agent for cancer is being investigated in preclinical studies.
