3-Bromo-2-phenoxypyridine (3BP) is a profile and mechanistic study of the antidepressant effects of 3BP. In preclinical studies, 3BP exhibited 5-HT1A receptor agonist activity and inhibited the reuptake of serotonin. This drug also showed potential for use in the treatment of depression due to its ability to inhibit dopamine reuptake and aminocarbonylation. 3BP has shown efficacy in animal models, but has not been tested on humans.
