Dichlorodicyclohexylsilane is a reactive chemical compound that contains nitrogen, chlorine, and hydrogen. The molecule has three hydrocarbon chains with ether linkages. Dichlorodicyclohexylsilane is a colorless liquid that reacts with water, alcohols, amines, and ethers to produce hydrochloric acid. It also undergoes chlorinating reactions with aromatic compounds in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid or ethylene diamine. Dichlorodicyclohexylsilane is used as an intermediate for other organic compounds and as a reagent for the synthesis of hydroxylamines from amines.
