Description:

2-(2-Methoxyphenoxy)-1-phenylethan-1-ol is a chemical compound that is used as a feedstock for styrene, which is an important raw material in the production of plastics. It can be produced by the oxidation of 2-methoxybenzaldehyde with hydrogen peroxide and potassium permanganate, followed by acidification to remove the manganese dioxide.
