Product Information
- Bis-(p-tolyl)-dichlorosilane
- Dichloro[Bis(4-Methylphenyl)]Silane
- Di(p-tolyl)dichlorosilane
Di-p-tolyldichlorosilane is a sterically hindered organosilicon compound that can be used to crosslink vinyl polymers. This process produces a polymer with increased mechanical strength and higher heat resistance. Di-p-tolyldichlorosilane can also be used as an additive in siloxane polymerization reactions. Di-p-tolyldichlorosilane has been shown to have a high interaction with the silicon atom, which is present in many polymers. This interaction may lead to crosslinking of the polymer chains, which will produce a more durable material.
