N,N-Dipropargyl-p-toluenesulfonamide is an unsymmetrical compound that has two regioisomers: N,N-dipropargyl-p-toluenesulfonamide and N,N'-dipropargyl-p-toluenesulfonamide. It is a reactant that can be used in the synthesis of cycloadducts. The compound was isolated in yields of 80% for both regioisomers. The yield for the N,N'-isomer was higher than that for the N,N'-isomer (80% vs. 60%). This product is selective for terminal alkynes and cycloaddition reactions.
