Product Information
2-Amino-9,9-diphenylfluorene (2ADF) is a fluorescent probe that has been used to measure the efficiency of fluoroan devices. It can be synthesized by ring-opening of 2,6-diamino-9,9-diphenylfluorene with phenylmagnesium bromide. 2ADF exhibits a high efficiency in fluorine gas detection and can be used for detection of transition metals such as copper and mercury. It is also sensitive to changes in pH and has been used to study the mechanism of fluoride removal from water. Fluorescence microscopy has been used to study the spatial distribution of 2ADF in the brain tissue.
