Product Information
Methyl 3-amino-2-chloro-6-fluorobenzoate is an inhibitor of the enzyme b-raf, which is a protein that plays an important role in cell proliferation and differentiation. Methyl 3-amino-2-chloro-6-fluorobenzoate has been shown to be effective in the treatment of melanoma, as well as other cancerous tumors. The compound inhibits the activity of b-raf by binding to the active site and blocking its function. The binding of methyl 3-amino-2-chloro-6-fluorobenzoate to b -raf decreases phosphorylation of protein kinase B (PKB) and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β). This leads to decreased activation of downstream effectors such as cyclin D1 and caspases, which are proteins that regulate cell cycle progression and apoptosis respectively.
