Description

1,2,2,6,6-Pentamethyl-4-piperidyl Methacrylate is a stabilizer that has been shown to increase the photostability of acrylates. It also has reactive properties and can be used as a photocatalyst. 1,2,2,6,6-Pentamethyl-4-piperidyl Methacrylate is used in coatings and encapsulation materials to prevent photooxidation. It can also be used as a light exposure stabilizer for emulsions with an oil phase. The polymerization of this compound is initiated by piperidine or other amines.
