Diethyl 4-bromophenylmalonate is a molecule with an orthorhombic structure. It belongs to the class of phenyl ring compounds. The light absorption and emission wavelengths for this compound are in the range of 400-500 nm. This compound has been shown to be effective in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, as well as vasomotor symptoms, by inhibiting reuptake of monoamines. Diethyl 4-bromophenylmalonate has also been shown to have anti-radiation properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit monoamine reuptake and protect against radiation-induced damage.
