Product Information
Ursodeoxycholic acid-d5 (UDCA-d5) is a form of ursodeoxycholic acid that is used as a pharmaceutical drug. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver, which may be due to its ability to inhibit 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase. UDCA-d5 also has high specificity and sensitivity, as well as good stability when exposed to light or heat. It can be used for pharmacokinetic studies, sample preparation, and validation. UDCA-d5 is administered orally and is excreted unchanged in bile, urine, and feces.
