Description:

Methoxy(dimethyl)-n-octylsilane is a hypervalent organic solvent that is used as a mobile phase in chromatography. It has an average particle diameter of 150 nm and can be used in coatings as a template molecule. Methoxy(dimethyl)-n-octylsilane has been shown to have excellent optical properties, which make it useful in the production of optical films, such as anti-reflective films. Methoxy(dimethyl)-n-octylsilane also has reactive hydroxyl groups that are capable of reacting with other molecules. This property makes it a potential candidate for use in nanotechnology applications, such as the synthesis of nanoparticles or nanotubes. It also has excellent chemical stability due to its high boiling point and low volatility.
