Licoricesaponin G2 is a saponin that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria. Licoricesaponin G2 was extracted from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and its extraction yield was found to be 10%. The surface methodology used in vitro methods was a thin-layer chromatography. The product research method used was a profile assay. It was tested on the bacterial strain typhimurium, with a profile analysis showing an increase in tyrosinase activity and tyrosine content. This product also exhibited antibacterial properties against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis.
