Description

Fmoc-D-Thr-OH is an extracellular peptide that belongs to a class of glycopeptides. It has been shown to be bactericidal against P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and E. coli in vitro at concentrations below 100 µg/mL, with an adsorption mechanism of passive diffusion. Fmoc-D-Thr-OH exhibits bactericidal activity against staphylococci and other bacteria at low concentrations ( 10 µg/mL) and shows no cross-resistance to other antibiotics. The peptide has also been shown to have anticancer properties in cell culture studies, as it inhibits phosphatase activity in cancer cells.
