Product Information
4(3H)-Pyrimidinone, 2,6-diamino- is a potent antitumor agent that inhibits the transcription-polymerase chain. It is an analogue of Glp-1 and has nonclassical properties. 4(3H)-Pyrimidinone, 2,6-diamino- has been shown to inhibit the growth of human prostate cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This drug also inhibits the production of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in rat proximal tubule cells. 4(3H)-Pyrimidinone, 2,6-diamino--2-(2'-deoxyadenosine 5'-triphosphate) has a high affinity for nuclear DNA and can be used as a fluorescent probe for studying this material. The hydroxyl group on pyridine ring A is critical for its high sensitivity to cAMP.
