BETd-260 is a fatty acid that is a potent modulator of Toll-like receptors, which are proteins on the surface of cells that recognize pathogens and initiate an immune response. BETd-260 has been shown to potently inhibit tumor growth in mouse xenograft models and cancer cell lines. It also inhibits inflammation in animal models of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and colitis. BETd-260 has been shown to be active against leukemia cells in vitro and stem cell-like cells in vivo. BETd-260 is currently undergoing clinical development for treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases.
