Product Information

Name:
N-[(11bS)-Dinaphtho[2,1-D:1',2'-F][1,3,2]dioxaphosphepin-4-yl]-1,1,1-trifluoromethanesulfonamide
Description:

N-[(11bS)-Dinaphtho[2,1-D:1',2'-F][1,3,2]dioxaphosphepin-4-yl]-1,1,1-trifluoromethanesulfonamide is a nitro compound that has been shown to have antiinflammatory effects in macrophage-like cells. It inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in these cells. Nitrosamines are also known to be toxic to the nervous system. The transformation method for this compound is condensation with an amine or ammonia. The ligand for this compound is unknown; however it is thought to be a small molecule because of its low molecular weight. Nitrosamines are also known to cause bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
