Product Information

Name:
2-(4-Chlorophenoxy)-N-(4-isonicotinoylphenyl)-acetamide
Description:

2-(4-Chlorophenoxy)-N-(4-isonicotinoylphenyl)acetamide is a photosensitive agent that incorporates into the outer layer of cells, where it is converted to its active form. It inhibits tumor cell growth by binding to and activating protein kinase C (PKC), which in turn activates tumor suppressor gene pai-1. 2-(4-Chlorophenoxy)-N-(4-isonicotinoylphenyl)acetamide also has photoreceptor activity, which can be used to activate the plasminogen activator system and increase the production of hematopoietic stem cells. This agent also has solvating properties and promotes the formation of layered structures.
