It also inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death. 5-Chloroisoquinolin-6-ol has been shown to have biological properties, such as growth factor β1, high values in dextran sulfate and disulfide bond, and carcinogenic potential. 5-Chloroisoquinolin-6-ol is also known for its toxicity, which can cause bowel diseases as well as locomotor activity inhibition.
