Product Information

Name:
Ethyl 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate
Description:

Ethyl 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate is an unsymmetrical, regiospecific pesticide that yields chloride in the reaction with magnesium. It is used as a reagent and in the synthesis of carbonyl compounds. The chlorination of this compound with chlorine gas at room temperature produces ethyl 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate. Cyclocondensation reactions are also possible with this compound, leading to carboxylates. This compound also reacts with dihydrobenzene to form a regiospecifically n substituted benzene ring.
