Product Information
3-bromo-2-methylquinoline is a hydroxyalkyl alkyl group that contains a nitrogen atom and an ethyl group. It is used in the production of cellulose acetate, methylate, and methoxy. 3-bromo-2-methylquinoline reacts with diazonium chloride to form an aryl nitrene, which then reacts with glyceryl to produce an acrylonitrile. This process can be reversed by chlorohydrin, leading to the formation of 3-bromo-2-methylquinoline from acrylonitrile.
