Description:
6-Bromo-4-methoxy-1H-indole is an indole that can be synthesized by dearomatization. This compound has been shown to react with nucleophiles, such as thiols and amines, under basic conditions. In the presence of a base, 6-bromoindole reacts with alkyl halides to form 6-bromoindoles. 6-Bromo-4-methoxy-1H-indole has been used in the synthesis of natural products including indoles and Indolizine A.
