Product Information
2-Chloro-3-nitropyridine (2CNP) can be obtained by the decarboxylation of 2-(3-aminopyridin-2-yl)acetonitrile. This reaction is followed by the addition of a nitro group to the 2CNP, which is then heated with concentrated hydrochloric acid. The yield of the reaction is high and has been shown to be effective in synthesizing 4-azaindole.
