8-[(E)-2-[(1H-Indol-3-yl)methylidene]hydrazin-1-yl]quinoline is a molecule that inhibits the production of lipid peroxides in cells. It may be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, cancer, and leukemia. 8-[(E)-2-[(1H-Indol-3-yl)methylidene]hydrazin-1-yl]quinoline has been shown to inhibit the growth of human fibrocytes in vitro, which is a model system for inflammatory diseases. This drug also inhibited the proliferation of T cells from patients with t cell leukemia. The effect on human leukocytes was confirmed in vitro using primary human lymphocytes and peripheral blood mononuclear cells from healthy donors.
