Description:
2-((4-(4-Bromophenylsulfonamido)-1-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)thio)acetic acid is an antibody that binds to a repetitive sequence of the bacterial cell wall. It has been shown to be immunogenic and able to elicit an immune response in humans, leading to the development of antibodies against S. aureus. 2-((4-(4-Bromophenylsulfonamido)-1-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)thio)acetic acid has been used in the treatment of S. aureus infections in mice and rabbits. This antibody has not yet been tested in humans for safety or efficacy.
