Byakangelicin-d3 is a sesquiterpene oligoglycoside that is isolated from the bark of the tree Byakangelica. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antiparasitic properties. The solubilizing effect of this compound may be due to its saponin content. Byakangelicin-d3 has also been shown to reduce the production of reactive oxygen species and increase glutathione levels in cells.
