Murrayone is a sodium hydroxide solution that has been used in the past as an antiseptic for wounds and burns. It is also used to control pH levels in industrial processes and as a feed additive for cattle. The chemical can be used to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and prevent them from spreading by destroying their membranes. Murrayone does not have any effect on healthy cells because it does not penetrate them. This chemical is also toxic to certain animals, such as macrobiotus, dactylobiotus, and echiniscus, which are aquatic invertebrates.
