Description:
5-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is an inhibitor of the mitotic kinesin KIF5B. It is a bicyclic compound that has been shown to inhibit cellular activity and tumor growth in preclinical models. 5-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine blocks the interaction between KIF5B and histone H3, preventing mitosis, which leads to cell death. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.
