Description:
1,4-Di(1H-imidazol-1-yl)butane is a dicarboxylic acid that belongs to the group of metal ion complexes. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo by binding anions, such as nitrate or chloride ions, which are involved in the inflammatory process. 1,4-Di(1H-imidazol-1-yl)butane also inhibits TNFα production and release from human monocytes. This compound is therefore a potential drug for the treatment of cancer.
